The BEST Pizza Dough Around

I’ve made this dough for years. I have adapted it into the perfect dough that always works, every time. I sometimes cut into halves or thirds and freeze the dough for a later date, use the dough to make pretzel dogs, or cinnamon rolls, or even calzones. It is so versatile! I made 3 pizzas the night before last, all using the same dough.

We’re all happy this way and there’s plenty of leftovers for lunches! I am asked for this recipe more than any others, so here you are again!

Mia’s Pizza Dough Recipe:

1 packet of active yeast

1 tbsp sugar

2 cups lukewarm water

*Let these 3 ingredients sit for 10 mins.

Add in 1 tbsp sea salt, a drizzle of olive oil and then begin adding in 5 cups of flour. I use my Kitchen Aid mixer with the hook to knead for about 5 mins. When adding in the flour, add in 1 cup at a time, making sure the dough is not too dry. I have found that if the dough is a little too dry, add in a little bit of olive oil. Works great!

Put the dough in a bowl, making sure the dough has a light coating of olive oil over it. Cover and rest for about an hour.
