Morning Walks At The Farm

This morning, I was walking Sitka around the back side of the farm, and I couldn’t believe how much has changed in the past few days. Last week the wheat was still partially green, which saved a lot of it from the fire we had up here. This week, the wheat is golden and gorgeous!Harvest is only about 1 1/2- 2 weeks away and we are crossing our fingers for a peaceful, happy time up here before harvest. 🌾Both the front & back fallow fields around the house have combines, tractors and trucks parked in them. Those are the safest places for them when a fire is close. Usually they’re in buildings. 🙂

Happy day up here! This time last week was a scary time with everything packed in vehicles and evacuation notices. What a difference one week can make!
